Even though GRAVITY is not designed to support placement of Hotspots on drop-down menus, we offer a simple workaround with a CTRL+ALT+G keyboard shortcut.
If you've ever tried to place a Hotspot on a dropdown menu, you're already aware of the inherent challenge: “GRAVITY simply isn’t built to support dropdown menus”. As soon as you click to create a Callout, the menu collapses, making it impossible to place a Hotspot on the desired element.
“For optimal GRAVITY performance, we strongly advise placing Hotspots on the main page of your application or website, where the interface remains stable and fully interactive.”
However, for those times when you absolutely must place a Hotspot within a dropdown menu, we're pleased to announce a new workaround that allows Windows users to get around this limitation.
Follow the simple steps below to successfully add your Callout:
While the ideal solution is to place your Hotspots on the main page of your application or website, we understand that sometimes the dropdown is the only option available.

Happy Hotspotting!
